Dr. Smriti H. Bhandari is a seasoned researcher and educator with over 28 years of experience in Computer Vision, Machine Learning, and Database Systems. She holds a PhD in Computer Science and Engineering from India.
Throughout her career, she has served in various academic roles, including Professor and Head of the Department at leading engineering colleges in Sangli. She has developed and delivered numerous professional technical courses, faculty development programs, and workshops in data science, machine learning, deep learning, and computer vision. She is an active research mentor and a member of various academic boards, contributing to the advancement of engineering education.
Her research journey includes serving as the principal investigator on several government-funded projects that have led to significant advancements in medical and industrial applications. She has been awarded the Women Scientist and Young Scientist Fellowships by the Government of India. Her research interests include image processing, video processing, computer vision, machine learning, and deep learning. She has published papers in esteemed journals and conferences, and she also published a patent. Additionally, she has served as a reviewer for various international conferences and journals.
