Abhishek Bansal is a highly experienced Identity and Access Management thought leader with more than 11 years of experience in the cybersecurity industry. Overall he has 14 years of professional experience. He is a well-accredited global leader in the cybersecurity industry with established experience in building and scaling cybersecurity-related enterprise products and professional teams globally.
Abhishek is a graduate of the University of Southern California, where he studied Electrical Engineering. He is an engineer turned product manager who is passionate about using technology to solve real-world problems. He has a strong focus on trust and reliability and has domain expertise in Identity Governance and Compliance in heavily regulated sectors such as fintech, healthcare, insurance, and technology.
Abhishek started his IAM journey at Saviynt, Inc., an IGAaaS startup as an early-stage product manager. He served there for almost eight years, during which time the company grew from a valuation of $5 million to $750 million. He then moved to a Fortune 100 company to serve as the Director of Product Management, Identity Governance, Administration, and Compliance. Abhishek has delivered enterprise security architecture design and implementation at more than ten Fortune 1000 and Global 2000 publicly traded companies from all sectors. Abhishek is a highly respected leader in the IAM community. He is also a contributing member of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers, Cloud Security Alliance, Information Systems Security Association, and Identity Defined Security Alliance (IDSA). He is extremely passionate about the ethical use of artificial intelligence, zero trust architecture, the principle of least privileged access control, identity governance, cyber security mesh architecture, the security architecture of decentralized identities, policy-based access controls, and role-based access controls.
